Home DAY 4 (12TH OF JULY)

We woke up very early at, 4 am, because we wanted to see the sunrise. We reached the beach when it was still dark and we could see the lights in Mamaia and Constanta. It was quite cloudy but when the sun rose the clouds parted for a few minutes and we could see the sunrise. It was 5.30 am.

In the morning we visited the Museum of History and Archeology in Constanta. Situated on the Black Sea coast, this museum, which faithfully reflects the past of the Romanian people, in its dense succession of great deeds, was organized in its present form, on may 1977.
The thesaurus found contains the museum's most valuable and rarest artifacts. The unique statues of "Glykon" and "Fortune and Pontus" can be found here as well as other representations of Roman gods and governors. After we had finished shooting in the museum, we visited the "Mosaic"(the remains of a huge, public, roman market).

Based on the evidences excavated, we might say at that level, there used to be an enormous chamber, like a hall paved with over 2,000 square meters of many colored mosaic. Of the four original walls only three have survived to this day: the eastern, the southern and western ones-enough to partially reconstruct the edifice.

Afterwards we went to hotel President. We had to wait a lot until we were finally allowed to visit the ruins that were under the hotel. We were also given a tour of the hotel, which was quite impressive.

We went back to Navodari and because we had succeeded in our mission we were allowed to go to the disco, after we had returned from our walk on the beach. And so the 4th day was over.
