Via dell'Abbondanza
"Via dell'Abbondanza is probably the most important Roman road in Pompeii because it crosses the whole urban area: the western end of Via dell'Abbondanza joins "Via Stabiana" (Cardo Maximum) with "Piazza del Foro" (Forum square).

Via dell'Abbondanza is the main street in the city where most of the commercial activity was developed, in fact all along the street we can see evicence of the growth of lots of "tabernae" (small shops e.g. bakers, cobblers etc.) often connecting to the shop owner's house
