Arles is a city in the south of France, in the "departement des Bouches-du-Rhône". Lots of Roman monuments are worth visiting and some restoration projects are on the way. The town is located on the banks of the Rhône. It was and still is a link between the Mediterranean sea thanks to a canal and a prosperous agricultural and industrial center. It is also a good starting point for a visit to the nearby "Camargue".
